The former was coming off the back of a decent success with grungy Seattle based relationship indie flick, ‘Singles’ but unfortunately for him, he was overshadowed by the music and the quirkier people around him. Everything that I love about the movie is absent from the book and frankly, every character is down right annoying and dysfunctional leimmbach the book.
